Is History a Lie?

A Real Stockholm Syndrome indeed!

Want to bet this contract is standard practice?

The images of the celebrities and all news personas and even the supposed real people who are the focus of the so-called news stories are very controlled and highly manipulated. When we see something on a screen or read it in the newspaper or hear it on the radio or by word of mouth, we must remember that we are not able to actually examine the evidence and are relying on hearsay.

A lot of the time the hearsay is highly contradictory.

There are layers of illusion woven with some small doses of  truth and this creates the biography and persona of the so-called film, television, news, pop, music or other sort of celebrity "Star" and this includes those who are presented to us as 'regular' folk.

We are supposed to look up to those people as successful examples of human beings. We are supposed to emulate their behavior. We must avoid this sort of idolatry. We must learn to ignore the messenger and learn to appreciate reading the message.

We think we know who the famous people really are, but we only know what we are shown and told. We know nothing about these people and their real lives. We only know the propaganda or public relations noise.

We can not be sure we know who is who.

"Real World" Contracts

“When signing the contract, cast members also agree that producers can humiliate them, portray them “in a false light,” and even hire “actors who may or may not resemble” them to achieve whatever ends they’d like. So, even if you’re a saint, they can make you look like the devil. MTV also gets blanket rights to all contestants’ experiences “which occur, will occur, or have occurred at any time… (my ‘Life Story’).” That means if you tell the producers a story that happened in your past, they can work it in any way they want. It sounds like something straight out of an Orwellian novel.”

News is yellow journalism.

Joseph Campbell defines yellow press newspapers as having daily multi-column front-page headlines covering a variety of topics, such as sports and scandal, using bold layouts (with large illustrations and perhaps color), heavy reliance on unnamed sources, and unabashed self-promotion. The term was extensively used to describe certain major New York City newspapers around 1900 as they battled for circulation.[3]

Frank Luther Mott defines yellow journalism in terms of five characteristics:[4]

  1. scare headlines in huge print, often of minor news
  2. lavish use of pictures, or imaginary drawings
  3. use of faked interviews, misleading headlines, pseudoscience, and a parade of false learning from so-called experts
  4. emphasis on full-color Sunday supplements, usually with comic strips
  5. dramatic sympathy with the "underdog" against the system.

DINFOS fulfills the Department of Defense's need for an internal corps of professional journalists, broadcasters, and public affairs professionals.[1] Members from all branches of the U.S. military, DoD civilians and international military personnel attend DINFOS for training in public affairs, print journalismphotojournalismphotographytelevision and radio broadcastinglithography, equipment maintenance and various forms of multimedia. The American Council on Education recommends college credit for most DINFOS courses."

"Leadership courses

The Public Affairs Leadership Department is one of four departments in DINFOS.

The Public Affairs Leadership Department offers the Qualification Course (PAQC), the Joint Expeditionary Course (JEPAC), the Joint Intermediate Course (JIPAC), and the Joint Senior Course (JSPAC). Courses are offered to military officers, senior enlisted personnel, Department of Defense civilians, and members of coalition partners from around the world who are preparing for or already in billets of public affairs leadership.

The Public Affairs Qualification Course (PAQC) provides those who are new to the public affairs field the fundamentals of public affairs to include military-media relations, the different mediums used to facilitate the flow of accurate and timely information, and how to conduct public affairs operations in support of the command's mission. In addition, the students are taught the fundamentals of news, journalism, and how to write and copy-edit in accordance with the Associated Press (AP) Styleguide.

The Public Affairs Expeditionary Course is a ten-day, intensive follow-on course to PAQC. Students are expected to have a basic working knowledge and experience in PA as the course is focused more on the application of PA skills in a field environment.

Journalism courses

Journalism classes feature basic writing skills and include a headline style known at the school as "headline-ese", a total style for writing and developing headlines. Students are taught a variety of writing styles and formats such as news, sports and feature writing.

Photojournalism courses focus on composition, exposure, and general camera operation skills. Flash photography is introduced in the basic photography course. Students learn advanced photo-editing, composition and other techniques not taught in basic photojournalism classes.

For military print journalists, DINFOS offers the 12-week Basic Public Affairs Specialist Course (BPASC), a 26-week online BPASC and three-week Editors' Course. U.S. Army students are awarded the Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) designator of 46Q, and U.S. Marine Corps students are awarded the MOS 4341 Combat Correspondent.

For military Broadcast journalists, DINFOS offers the Broadcast Communication Specialist Course. Broadcasters begin by attending several weeks of BWAS - Basic Writing and Announcing Skills. If the class requirements are met, students may continue into Radio and Television broadcasting classes. U.S. Army students are awarded the MOS designator of 46R.

Students in all courses hail from all branches of the U.S. military and reserve as well as International military students.

Equipment maintenance courses

The Basic Television Equipment Maintenance (BTVEM) course includes apprentice level instruction in the repair of all types of studio and transmission equipment. Students also learn how to maintain the AVID non-linear digital editing systems. The U.S. Army MOS 25R and the Air Force AFSC 2E134 is awarded upon completion. Since December 2006 Air Force class graduated, DINFOS no longer trains Air Force personnel in the BTVEM course.

The Broadcast Radio and Television Systems Maintenance course is an advanced level course where students learn the ins and outs of American Forces Radio and Television Service (AFRTS) engineering standards and practices.

Both maintenance courses are nationally accredited by the Society of Broadcast Engineers (SBE). Upon completion of either course with an average GPA of at least 85%, students are certified by the SBE as broadcast technologists (CBT)."

CITY ROOM; 9/11 Faker Is Spotted Briefly in New York
By DAVID W. DUNLAP
Published: March 14, 2012

Readers will approach ‘’The Woman Who Wasn’t There: The True Story of an Incredible Deception’’ knowing how it’s going to end. Tania Head, who claimed a place in the public’s heart for having narrowly escaped death in the south tower of the World Trade Center - ‘’America’s most famous survivor,’’ the authors call her - will be revealed as an impostor.

Her real name is Alicia Head, she is Spanish, and on Sept. 11, 2001, she was in Barcelona attending business school.

The deception itself is not new. It was revealed in The New York Times in 2007. A day earlier, the World Trade Center Survivors’ Network announced that Ms. Head was no longer president of the organization nor associated with it in any way. She then seemed to disappear without a trace.

In ‘’The Woman Who Wasn’t There,’’ to be released next month, the authors, Robin Gaby Fisher and Angelo J. Guglielmo Jr., tell the story in a straightforward manner, at first relating Ms. Head’s version, then tracing the way her fantastic tale unraveled. (Except for answering fact-checking questions as publication neared, The Times did not assist them.)

Their narrative does, however, yield a surprise: Ms. Head is still around.

That’s not what most people think. The Wikipedia entry on Alicia Esteve Head said (as of Tuesday): ‘’In the documentary ‘The 9/11 Faker,’ broadcast in September 2008, Head’s whereabouts were said to be unknown. In February 2008, an e-mail sent from a Spanish account to members of the World Trade Center Survivors’ Network claimed that Head had committed suicide.’’

Mr. Guglielmo, a filmmaker, has been working on a documentary about Ms. Head since before the revelation - initially with her cooperation. Against high odds, he wrote, he spied Ms. Head and her mother on the East Side last Sept. 14. He began following them. ‘’I was intent on talking to Tania or Alicia or any combination,’’ he wrote. ‘’I was finishing up the documentary and wanted to give her one last chance to tell her side of the story.’’

When she finally recognized him, not far from a hotel on East 34th Street where she was apparently staying, she shook her head.

’’Don’t come near me, Angelo,’’ he quoted Ms. Head as saying. ‘’Get away from me.’’

His camera running, Mr. Guglielmo said he implored: ‘’How could you show up here during the 10th anniversary? How could you?’’ After a brief confrontation, he said, he turned off the camera and walked away.

I took no pleasure in that encounter. That night, I replayed the video and cringed. I felt sad. And sorry. Did that mean I forgave her? Who the hell knows? I didn’t even know who she was.

This is a more complete version of the story than the one that appeared in print.

Red Bandana Foundational Propaganda Warning!

In fact, Tania Head (real name: Alicia Esteve) wasn’t even in New York on 9/11. She was in her native Barcelona.

“The Woman Who Wasn’t There” — the first TV production from Meredith Vieira’s company since she left the “Today” show last year — premieres on Investigation Discovery tomorrow night, and it’s as riveting a tale as any you will see on TV.

Survivors of 9/11 who became family to Head, who leaned on her, supported her, took her to see the name of her fiance (whom she sometimes called her husband) etched into the memorial for the first time — all the moments are here.

It’s a shocking and bizarre tale that began when the privileged, overweight daughter of a prominent Barcelona family named Esteve decided to become a survivor.

Her family had been embroiled in a financial scandal that swept them into the national headlines, so she simply decided to reinvent herself — with a new name — as a wounded survivor and “widow.”

As the documentary unfolds and Head’s story — after four years of prominence — begins to crumble, the shock, outrage, hurt and anger of the survivors is palpable.

“Who would want to be us,” says one surviving widow. “Who?”

Alicia Esteve, that’s who.

Don’t miss a second of it.

In a 9/11 Survival Tale, the Pieces Just Don’t Fit

By DAVID W. DUNLAP and SERGE F. KOVALESKI
SEPT. 27, 2007

“Tania Head’s story, as shared over the years with reporters, students, friends and hundreds of visitors to ground zero, was a remarkable account of both life and death.

She had, she said, survived the terror attack on the World Trade Center despite having been badly burned when the plane crashed into the upper floors of the south tower.

Crawling through the chaos and carnage on the 78th floor that morning, she said, she encountered a dying man who handed her his inscribed wedding ring, which she later returned to his widow.

Her own life was saved, she said, by a selfless volunteer who stanched the flames on her burning clothes before she was helped down the stairs. It was a journey she said she had the strength to make because she kept thinking of a beautiful white dress she was to wear at her coming marriage ceremony to a man named Dave.

But later she would discover, she said, that Dave, her fiancé, and in some versions her husband, had perished in the north tower.

As a matter of history, Ms. Head’s account made her one of only 19 survivors who had been at or above the point of impact when the planes hit. As a matter of emotion, her story deeply moved audiences like college students to whom she spoke and visitors at ground zero, where she has long led tours for the Tribute W.T.C. Visitor Center for visitors including Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg, former Mayor Rudolph W. Giuliani and former Gov. George E. Pataki.

“What I witnessed there I will never forget,” she told a gathering at Baruch College at a memorial event in 2006. “It was a lot of death and destruction, but I also saw hope.”

Much of Ms. Head’s account was posted on the Web site of the World Trade Center Survivors’ Network, a nonprofit organization for which she served as president and as point person for corporate donations.

But no part of her story, it turns out, has been verified.

The family and friends of the man to whom she claimed to be engaged say they have never heard of Tania Head and view the relationship she describes with the man, who truly died in the north tower, as an impossibility.

A spokeswoman for Merrill Lynch & Company, where she told people she worked at the time of the terror attack, said the company had no record of employing a Tania Head.

And few people, it seems, who embraced the gripping immediacy and pain of her account ever asked the name of the man whose ring she had returned, or that of the hospital where she was treated, or the identities of the people she met with in the south tower on the morning of 9/11.

“She never shared those details, and it was nothing we wanted to probe,” said Alison Crowther, the mother of Welles Remy Crowther, a man who died on 9/11 and who is credited with rescuing a number of people from the south tower, including, by Ms. Head’s account, Ms. Head. “I felt it was too private and painful for her.”

In recent weeks, The New York Times sought to interview Ms. Head about her experiences on 9/11 because she had, in other settings, presented a poignant account of survival and loss. But she canceled three scheduled interviews, citing her privacy and emotional turmoil, and declined to provide details to corroborate her story. During a telephone conversation on Tuesday, she would not explain her reticence, saying only that she had not filed any claims with the federal Victim Compensation Fund. “I have done nothing illegal,” Ms. Head said.

She has retained a lawyer, Stephanie Furgang Adwar, to represent her. Also on Tuesday, in response to a question about the accuracy of Ms. Head’s account, Ms. Adwar said in an e-mail message, “With regard to the veracity of my client’s story, neither my client, nor I, have any comment.”

No one has suggested that Ms. Head did anything to profit financially from her position as an officer with the Survivors’ Network, the nonprofit group for which she helped to raise money. But the organizations with which she has been affiliated have also questioned her account after learning of the inquiries from The Times.

For several weeks, colleagues who said they respected the good work she had done as a fixture in the survivor community have pressed her to come forward with clarifying details. But they said that they had been unable to persuade her or, in other cases, that she made representations that contradicted previous versions she had given.

A Résumé With Many Holes

The board of the Survivors’ Network voted this week to remove her as president and as a director of the group, which seeks to support those who escaped the terror that day. “Tania Head is no longer associated with the World Trade Center Survivors’ Network,” its acting president, Richard Zimbler, said yesterday.

Officials of the Tribute Center said yesterday that as it stands now, Ms. Head would no longer do volunteer work for it as a tour guide.

“At this time, we are unable to confirm the veracity of her connection to the events of Sept. 11,” said Jennifer Adams, chief executive of the September 11th Families’ Association, which developed the center.

Tania Head’s colleagues in New York, the people who worked with her to respond to the trauma of the terror attack, say that for three years she has given a gentle face and passionate voice to the survivors of the tragedy. They have seen, they said, the scars and marks on her arm that she said she suffered in the terrorist attack."

But they do not know many details about her life before September 2001.

She has told people that she is the daughter of a diplomat, and is described on the Survivors’ Network Web site as “a senior vice president for strategic alliances for an investment think tank.”

Biographical material circulated at a school where she was scheduled to speak listed her as a financial executive who had done work in the United States, the United Kingdom, Argentina, France, Singapore and Holland for leading firms. She said that she had started out as a management consultant for Andersen Consulting.

Ms. Head told Mr. Crowther’s family that she had worked on a mergers team at Merrill Lynch and that all the members of the team in the south tower had perished on 9/11, except her.

More recently, Linda Gormley, a board member of the Survivors’ Network, said that Ms. Head had told her she had been in the building applying for an internship.

Ms. Head, who sometimes uses the first name Alicia, has also said that she traveled to Thailand after the tsunami in 2004 and to Louisiana after Hurricane Katrina to offer her help.

As for her educational background, she has told people that she has an undergraduate degree from Harvard and a graduate business degree from Stanford, though officials at both universities said they could not find records of a student by her name.

Her work with the Survivors’ Network appears to have begun in 2004, when Gerry Bogacz, one of its founders, said he learned through word of mouth that a woman named Tania Head had developed an Internet group for survivors.

“We had a long e-mail conversation over a two-month period, before we met, and shared our experiences,” Mr. Bogacz, who escaped from the north tower on 9/11, said in an interview. “The constellation of her experiencing the plane crash personally on the 78th floor and her fiancé’s being in the other tower and getting killed was just amazing.”

"Recalling a Fiery Escape"

“Ms. Head, who lives in Midtown Manhattan, became a board member of the Survivors’ Network about a year later, according to Mr. Bogacz.

The story she shared with people was that she had been on the 96th floor of the south tower, which was occupied by the Fiduciary Trust Company International, when the north tower was hit by the first plane at 8:46 a.m. She was up there, according to her own account, as a Merrill Lynch employee helping to close a merger between Fiduciary Trust and Franklin Resources Inc.

She was on the 78th floor, waiting for an express elevator to leave the south tower, she said, when the second plane struck.

Ms. Head has described how a severely burned man on the floor handed her his wedding ring as she crawled past, a ring she returned to the man’s grieving widow months later. Ms. Head has not publicly disclosed the identity of that family.

"She has spoken, though, of being rescued by Mr. Crowther, a 24-year-old equities trader and volunteer firefighter from Rockland County who is credited with saving several people in the south tower by leading them to the only stairs in either tower not severed by the planes. But Mr. Crowther, who is believed to have worn a red bandanna that day, did not escape himself. Ms. Head has said that she awoke to find Mr. Crowther extinguishing the flames on her clothes."

"Five days later, she has said, she regained consciousness in a hospital and found out that Dave, her fiancé, had died in the north tower.

Ms. Head has said she established a foundation in his memory, Dave’s Children Foundation, and has served as its executive director. But there are no registration records of such a charity on file with the federal government or with New York State.

A colleague of Ms. Head’s said she had told her that she met Dave when they were fighting over a taxi, and that he gave her his business card, which she threw away in a huff. But about a month later, she has said, they ended up at the same business meeting and soon started to date.

A colleague said Ms. Head had turned up for the last three anniversaries at ground zero to place a small replica of a yellow cab and flowers there in honor of David and how they met.

"Discrepancies in Details"

"Ms. Head has told several people that shortly before 9/11, she and Dave went to Hawaii, where they recognized their commitment to each other in a ceremony that was not legally recorded. Several people said she had told them that the official wedding was to be held in October 2001 in New York City, but that the couple had already begun to live together on the East Side with their golden retriever, Elvis.
In recent days, though, an associate of Ms. Head’s, Janice Cilento, a social worker who is on the board of the Survivors’ Network, said that Ms. Head told a different version of her life with Dave, relating now that they had only known each other for a few months and that their relationship had been kept secret from his family. Previously, Ms. Cilento said, Ms. Head had told her that she knew Dave’s family well, and that the couple had been living together for some time."

"Most recently, last weekend, Ms. Cilento said, Ms. Head told her in a phone conversation that her relationship with Dave had been a fantasy."

"In fact, the family and several friends of Dave, whose full name is being withheld by The Times to protect their privacy, said they had never heard of Tania Head. His mother said none of her son’s e-mail messages had indicated such a relationship. Both his parents and his roommate, with whom he lived in Manhattan, said they knew of no trip that he had taken to Hawaii.

In recent years, colleagues say, Ms. Head seemed dedicated to the cause of uniting and supporting the 9/11 survivors. She earned no money as president of the Survivors’ Network or as a volunteer tour guide at ground zero, and colleagues remember events that she sponsored at her own apartment.

“I still get moved when I think of her dignified, understated talk about an unimaginable and horrible loss,” said Rabbi Craig Miller, who arranged the program at Baruch that included Ms. Head.

Mr. Zimbler, of the Survivors’ Network, said he believed Alicia was Ms. Head’s given name.

Jefferson Crowther, Welles Crowther’s father, said in an interview that with the help of another Tribute Center tour guide, he and his wife met Ms. Head early last year. Mr. Crowther said that he arranged for them all to have dinner in a private dining room at the Princeton Club because Ms. Head had indicated she was uneasy about meeting in a very public place.

“During the dinner she said she still had her burned clothing and was going to send us a piece of it on a plaque since it was one of the last things our son had touched,” he recalled. “She explained that her clothes were on fire and that our son took a jacket and put out the flames. She told us that she said, ‘Don’t leave me,’ and he replied, ‘I won’t. Don’t worry. I’ll get you down.’”

“She seemed so heartfelt and genuine about what she said to us,” Mr. Crowther said.”

The Revelation of The Method?

Could life actors in one country be recruited from another? Accents can be learned. Perhaps the idea is that a person's loyalty would not be to the American public, for example, but to the people of their homeland. Such agents might be recruited from college campuses. Was the revelation of this con artist's (seemingly) true identity an accidental find by an unwitting journalist or just part of the scripted show?

Are we dealing with something like this post World War Two Travel Agency-like Experience for the Young?

A wish to improve young people’s cultural understanding after the Second World War led student organisations in several Nordic countries to establish travel agencies. These, DIS rejser in Denmark, SFS Resebyrå in Sweden, Univers Reiser in Norway and Travela in Finland, cooperated in purchasing and distributing travel products under the name Scandinavian Student Travel Services, SSTS, from the early 50’s and eventually merged in 1991 to become KILROY travels.[3] KILROY travels was launched in the Netherlands in 1996 and an Icelandic website opened for business in 2009. Alicia Esteve Head[2] (born July 31, 1973)[1] is a Spanish woman who claimed to be a survivor of the attacks on the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001, under the name Tania Head. She joined the World Trade Center Survivors’ Network support group, later becoming its president. Her name was regularly mentioned in media reports of the attacks. In 2007, it was revealed her story was a hoax: Head was not in New York on September 11, 2001, as she was actually attending classes in Barcelona.

Welles Remy Crowther (May 17, 1977 – September 11, 2001) was an American equities trader known for saving at least a dozen lives during the September 11 attacks in New York City, during which he lost his own life.

Welles Crowther grew up in Nyack, New York a Hollywood on the Hudson

Welles Remy Crowther was born the first of three children. His parents, Jefferson and Allison, raised him and his two younger sisters, Honor and Paige, in the northern New York suburb of Nyack, New York  As a child, Crowther looked up to his father, and one day, while seeing his father meticulously getting dressed for church, noticed that his father put a white handkerchief in the breast pocket of his suit coat and then wrapped a small comb in a blue or red bandanna and stuck it in his right hip pocket. When Welles was 6 years old, his father gave him a red bandanna that would become a signature trademark[2] and a link between father and son,[3] that he would carry with him everywhere,[1][3] wearing one under all of his sports uniforms in high school,[2] always as #19.[3] Crowther joined his father as a volunteer firefighter[1][2] at age 16, becoming a junior member of the Empire Hook and Ladder Company.[2][3] He later attended Boston College, where he played lacrosse,[1][2] wearing his bandana under his helmet.[2][3] In 1999 Crowther graduated with honors with a degree in economics.[2]

"He subsequently moved to New York City, taking a job as an equities trader for Sandler O'Neill and Partners, settling into an office on the 104th floor of South Tower of the World Trade Center. Though Crowther had long aspired to be in business, he eventually came to dislike desk work, and entertained dreams of joining the FDNY or the FBI or CIA."

After the Second World War, our superpower solved this dilemma in exactly this way and on exactly this line of reasoning. From the more or less official start of the Cold War, Harry Truman’s speech to Congress in March, 1947, announcing his policy “to support free peoples who are resisting attempted subjugation by armed minorities or by outside pressures”—that is, Communist aggression—the United States created fronts and secretly infiltrated existing nongovernmental organizations in order to advance American interests abroad.

Almost exactly twenty years after Truman’s speech, in February, 1967, the government’s cover was spectacularly blown by a college dropout. The dropout’s name was Michael Wood, and the operation he exposed was the C.I.A.’s covert use of an organization called the National Student Association. The revelation had a cascading effect, and helped to mark the end of the first phase of the Cold War.

The C.I.A. had its eye on the N.S.A. from the start—both were born in 1947, a few months after Truman’s speech—and the relationship gained steadily in strength and intimacy until the day the secret became public. Its story is now told in detail for the first time, in Karen M. Paget’s “Patriotic Betrayal” (Yale).

“Patriotic Betrayal” is an amazing piece of research. Paget has industriously combed the archives and interviewed many of the surviving players, including former C.I.A. officials. And Paget herself is part of the story she tells. In 1965, her husband, a student-body president at the University of Colorado, became an officer in the N.S.A., and, as a spouse, she was informed of the covert relationship by two former N.S.A. officials who had become C.I.A. agents.

She was sworn to secrecy. The penalty for violating the agreement was twenty years. Paget describes herself back then as “an apolitical twenty-year-old from a small town in Iowa,” and she says that she was terrified. Fifty years later, she is still angry. She has channelled her outrage into as scrupulous an investigation of the covert relationship as the circumstances allow.

One circumstance is the fact that a good deal of material is classified. Paget was able to fish up bits and pieces using the Freedom of Information Act. But most of the iceberg is still underwater, and will probably remain there. So there is sometimes an aura of vagueness around who was calling the tune and why.

The vagueness was also there by design. It was baked into the covert relationship. There was a lot of winking and nodding; that’s what helped people believe they were on the same page. But it means that much of the history of what passed between the C.I.A. and the N.S.A. is irrecoverable. Still, “Patriotic Betrayal” is a conscientious attempt to take the full measure of an iconic piece of Cold War subterfuge.

Where do Minions Come From?

Here's where many of the so-called journalists are trained. This school also trains comedians and voice over guys, and radio disc jockeys and actors.

"The Defense Information School, or DINFOS, is a United States Department of Defense (DoD) school located at Fort George G. Meade, Maryland. DINFOS fulfills the Department of Defense's need for an internal corps of professional journalists, broadcasters, and public affairs professionals

Members from all branches of the U.S. military, DoD civilians and international military personnel attend DINFOS for training in public affairs, print journalism, photojournalism, photography, television and radio broadcasting, lithography, equipment maintenance and various forms of multimedia. The American Council on Education recommends college credit for most DINFOS courses"

"Photojournalism courses focus on composition, exposure, and general camera operation skills. Flash photography is introduced in the basic photography course. Students learn advanced photo-editing, composition and other techniques not taught in basic photojournalism classes."

A HUGE Foundational Legacy is Created

"Following his death, Crowther's parents, Allison and Jefferson Crowther, with the support of a Michigan foundation, created the Red Bandana Project, a character development program for classrooms, sports teams, camps and youth programs. The family also established the Welles Remy Crowther Charitable Trust, with which they fund charitable work."

"The Welles Remy Crowther Red Bandana Run, a 5-kilometer road race, is held annually at Boston College.

In 2006, Crowther was posthumously named an honorary New York City firefighter by Commissioner Nicholas Scoppetta.[3][6]

That same year, Crowther's Boston College lacrosse teammate, Tyler Jewell, wore a red bandana in honor of Crowther when he competed as a member of the United States snowboarding team in the 2006 Winter Olympics.[3]

During the September 10, 2011, Central Florida-Boston College football game in Orlando, Florida, a day before the 10th anniversary of the September 11 attacks, both schools honored Crowther. Boston College players wore helmet stickers featuring Crowther's signature red bandana during the game, and Crowther's sisters, Honor Fagan and Paige Crowther, were introduced to the crowd during the third quarter. Boston College Athletic Director Gene DeFilippo had stated two days earlier, "Welles Crowther is a true American hero and we are very proud that he was a Boston College student-athlete. As Americans reflect in the upcoming days on the solemn occasion of the 9/11 anniversary, we are humbled by the bravery Welles exhibited that day." Several students at Central Florida were inspired by ESPN's Outside the Lines story about Crowther, and encouraged fans to wear red bandanas as they entered the stadium the night of the game.[2] On September 13, 2014, Boston College played the University of Southern California (USC) and the team wore uniforms symbolizing Crowther's red bandana, including a helmet stripe, cleats and gloves that have a red bandana pattern.[7] Boston College then defeated the ninth-ranked Trojans 37–31 in a stunning upset.

At the National 9/11 Memorial, Crowther is memorialized at the South Pool, on Panel S-50.[8] President Barack Obama, during his May 15, 2014, dedication of the museum, focused on Crowther's heroism in his speech. As images of Crowther flashed on a screen behind him, Obama stated, "They didn't know his name. They didn't know where he came from. But they knew their lives had been saved by the man in the red bandana. He called for fire extinguishers to fight back the flames. He tended to the wounded. He led those survivors down the stairs to safety, and carried a woman on his shoulders down 17 flights. Then he went back. Back up all those flights. Then back down again, bringing more wounded to safety. Until that moment when the tower fell." One of Crowther's bandanas is on display at the museum.[4][9][10]

In October of 2015, the Boston College Army ROTC program changed their name to "Bandanna Company." The change was meant to recognize the heroic efforts of Welles and the ideals that the future Army Officers of Boston College strive to hold close during their military service."

It looks like Welles Crowther became a mythic recruiting idol for Boston College and the college's sports program.

Interesting too, how the military is heavily involved with sports like College Football.

"EVERY TIME A BELL RINGS, AN ANGEL GETS HIS WINGS"

I don't know about you but, If my son died, I would not exploit his memory like this. This bandana wrapped icon is the definition of tasteless and uncouth. A true bandit. This seem a lot like the theatre of the absurd to me. No offense to the family who decided to exploit their lost member in a disgusting way, intended, but they are the ones promoting bandana sales and never forget nonsense.

Where Are The Photos of Crowther Wearing or Even Holding His Red Bandana?

There should be numerous photos, no? You'd think the family who back the use of their son's legacy to promote Boston College, would have provided some actual photography showing him with his red totem.

A Single Piece of Red Evidence:

Fluid Sexuality Warning! Behavior Manipulation?

"As a child, Crowther looked up to his father, and one day, while seeing his father meticulously getting dressed for church, noticed that his father put a white handkerchief in the breast pocket of his suit coat and then wrapped a small comb in a blue or red bandanna and stuck it in his right hip pocket. When Welles was 6 years old, his father gave him a red bandanna that would become a signature trademark and a link between father and son,[3] that he would carry with him everywhere, wearing one under all of his sports uniforms in high school."

The handkerchief code (also known as the hanky code, the bandana code, and flagging[1]) is a color-coded system, employed usually among the gay male casual-sex seekers or BDSM practitioners in the United States, Canada, Australia and Europe, to indicate preferred sexual fetishes, what kind of sex they are seeking, and whether they are a top/dominant or bottom/submissive. The hanky code was widely used in the 1970s by gay and bisexual men, and grew from there to include all genders and orientations.
Today, wearing color-coded handkerchiefs (bandanas) is the manner in which communication of desires and fetishes is achieved. Wearing a handkerchief on the left side of the body typically indicates one is a “top” (one considered active in the practice of the fetish indicated by the color of the handkerchief), while wearing it on the right side of the body would indicate one is a “bottom” (one considered passive in the practice of the fetish indicated by the color of the handkerchief). This left-right reality is taken from the earlier practice of tops wearing their keys on the left belt loop and bottoms on the right to indicate being a member of the leather subculture. Bandanas might be worn in the front or back pocket, tied around the neck (with the knot positioned on either the left or right side); around the ankle (when wearing boots or when undressed); or on other parts of the body.
There is no universally understood color code, and regional codes vary widely. There is general agreement upon the colors for more common practices, particularly those with an intuitive relation between the color and the practice, such as yellow for urolagnia; brown for coprophilia; and black for SM, but no absolute consensus for less common practices.
The wearing of various colored bandanas around the neck was common in the mid- and late-nineteenth century among cowboys, steam railroad engineers, and miners in the Western United States. It is thought that the wearing of bandanas by gay men originated in San Francisco after the Gold Rush, when, because of a shortage of women, men dancing with each other in square dances developed a code wherein the man wearing the blue bandana took the male part in the square dance, and the man wearing the red bandana took the female part (these bandanas were usually worn around the arm or hanging from the belt or in the back pocket of one’s jeans). It is thought that the modern hanky code started in New York City in late 1970 or early 1971 when a journalist for the Village Voice joked that instead of simply wearing keys to indicate whether someone was a “top” or a “bottom”, it would be more efficient to subtly announce their particular sexual focus by wearing different colored hankies.

Nyack, (near New City and part of Rockland County) and A History with Film - A Hollywood on The Hudson

Film making in Rockland County has a long and rich history dating back to the invention of the movie camera itself. In 1898, four years after the Lumière brothers held the first public film screening in Paris, Thomas Edison shot “Loading Ice on Cars” at what is now Rockland Lake State Park. This was followed by the 1902 prequel “Cutting and Canaling Ice.”

In 1918, Adolph Zukor purchased 300 acres in New City. The founder of Paramount Pictures, Zukor made history by introducing American audiences to their first feature film, the 53-minute French “Queen Elizabeth.” Despite abysmal camera work and a mediocre performance by the aging Sarah Bernhardt, who stumbled through scenes on a wooden leg, audiences were hooked to the new art. Zukor lived on his New City estate until 1956, using it as a getaway from the city life where stars such as Mae West would visit to sun themselves lounge by his pool. The land is now part of the aptly named Paramount Country Club .

Since then, Rockland County has been a growing site for film making. Televisions shows and features, including big budget productions and indies alike, have used the county for everything from gangster thrillers to chick flicks. Here’s a short Rockland County highlights reel:

• Goat, directed by Paul Borghese, is set for release in 2011
Riding in Cars with Boys (2001) shot at Dr. Davies Farm in Congers
TV drama Lipstick Jungle and the classic comedy Network (1976) were also filmed at Dr. Davies Farm.

Woody Allen remade Piermont in 1983 to look like a 1930’s depression-era town for The Purple Rose of Cairo.

In an episode of the Sopranos, Tony’s son hangs out in front of Napoli’s Pizza in New City, and in a later episode, plays football across the street at Albertus Magnus High School.

Rockland was also the backdrop for several scenes in Broken Flowers (2005), the deadpan comedy starring Bill Murray. At one point in the production, director Jim Jarmusch recalls Murray walking mysteriously off set into a house that was not a part of the film shoot. Murray returned shortly with a plate of cookies.

Nyack has also had its share of shoots over the years.

Jim Henson’s Labyrinth (1986), featuring a wicked David Bowie and other hairy creatures, filmed exteriors at a home in Upper Nyack, and an opening scene in Memorial Park.
Stepmom (1998) and Bounty Hunter (2010) prominently featured exteriors of the same beautiful Also in Upper Nyack Victorian house.
Nyack’s own Jonathan Demme filmed several scenes for his remake of The Manchurian Candidate (2004) close to home.
Mira Nair used the Nyack Library for a scene in The Namesake (2006).

A 19th-century Victorian mansion in Nyack, NY is on the market for $5.9 million. The property was once home to talk show queen Rosie O’Donnell as well as actress Helen Hayes who dubbed the riverfront property, “Pretty Penny” reportedly because of the exorbitant cost required to maintain the estate. The lavish home has six bedrooms, five bathrooms, several fireplaces, and $1 million worth of landscaped conifers, which current owner and art dealer Graham Arader recently installed. Arader and his family are allegedly leaving Rockland Country for the conveniences of the more concrete, conifer-less Manhattan.

Rosie O'Donnell: A Gatekeeper or just someone asking questions and slowly waking up to the layers of deception?

If things are run on a need to know basis, not everyone employed as propagandists need be in on 'it'. The View, like all of daytime television and the NEWS itself, is little more than propaganda.

Even a television show like The CHEW contains propaganda.

Good deception requires truth mixed with lies.

It is difficult to discern what is real from fantasy when dealing with the products of the Military Industrial Entertainment Complex™

Military Personal on the ABC/Disney TV Show, The Chew, above

If someone like a Rosie O'Donnell starts to wake you up, you really have to go and research the subject for yourself. This is true whether the media figure is on television or online. One has to learn the skill of thinking for oneself. Some of these people might be able to help you out whether they intended to or not. These very talented people are just artists. Artists are what all people are supposed to be. It is what we do as beings. Most of us are BS artists. We even like to lie to ourselves.

PROJECT MK ULTRA MIND CONTROL - Daytime TV

A statement of common sense get's mixed up with false paradigms and false narratives. All designed to keep you thinking the Shadow Puppet Play called Government, that you see in the NEWS, is real. The high level elections are nothing more than scripted fantasy the world is not run how the NEWS and the rest of the propagandists in the media tell you it does. Memes are easily repeated and promoted by daytime television. It's built in the the show's so called 'DNA'.

Rosie O'Donnell at View (ABC-USA)
In September 2006, O’Donnell replaced Meredith Vieira as a co-host and moderator of The View, a daytime women-oriented talk show.[24] Star Jones, a co-host on the show, quit, with some speculating Jones’s conservative views would be in constant tension with O’Donnell’s more liberal counterpoint. O’Donnell had also disputed Jones’s route of rapid weight loss, alluding that it must have been through gastric bypass surgery, rather than dieting and exercise alone as Jones had insisted, which also fed speculation about certain tension between the two. (Jones later confirmed that surgery was involved.) O’Donnell is credited with keeping the show’s “buzz factor up”.[25] She is also credited with making it more news-focused, though it still embraced the “fluff” of daytime TV talk shows (celebrities, fashion and food).[26] Despite an overall downward trend for most daytime broadcast shows, ratings rose by 27% during O’Donnell’s first year on The View.[27] The show was the fourth-most-watched in all of daytime in the key demographic of women ages 18–49, and scored record ratings in the total viewer category with an average of 3.4 million viewers—up 15% versus the same time in 2005.[27] O’Donnell moderated the opening “Hot Topics” portion of the show, where news items were discussed. O’Donnell gave the show a more political slant, and she and fellow comic Joy Behar often gave strong opinions against former President Bush’s domestic and foreign policies, including the Iraq War. As a conservative counterpoint, Elisabeth Hasselbeck would usually support the Bush administration’s policies and the two would get into an adversarial give-and-take.
Rosie O’Donnell, the past and future co-host of The View, on Friday reaffirmed her support of the 9/11 truther conspiracy theory. When asked by this writer if she continues to reject the idea that Muslim terrorists flew planes into buildings, O’Donnell tweeted in response, “i still do not believe the official story.” [See below for a screen shot of the tweet.]

O’Donnell left The View in 2007 after battling with conservative Elisabeth Hasselbeck. On March 29, 2007, she promoted trutherism, saying of September 11th: “I do believe it is the first time in history that fire has ever melted steel. I do believe that it defies physics for the World Trade Center Tower Seven, building seven, which collapsed in on itself, it is impossible for a building to fall the way it fell without explosives being involved…” ABC invited O’Donnell to return as a View co-host for the fall 2014 season.

On May 14, 2007, O’Donnell offered this bizarre theory, linking Rudy Giuliani to the conspiracy:

JOY BEHAR: Well, the one thing is that Giuliani post-9/11 appeared to be very heroic. But now they’re saying that he was not that efficient in helping the people who were the recovery, the responders.

ROSIE O’DONNELL: Also, he was, you know, instrumental in making sure that all of the steel was removed and shipped to Canada right away, Giuliani, was shipped to China, sorry, right away.”

BEHAR: “For what purpose?”

O’DONNELL: “Well, to get it out of there and to have, you know, all of the stu — but it was all gone. So there was no like metal to test. There was no, there was no-“

ELISABETH HASSELBECK: “Giuliani was involved in the cover-up is that what’s going on? I just want to check.”
— Discussion of 9/11 the May 14, 2007 edition of ABC’s The View.

Nicolle Wallace, former George W. Bush communications chief, is reportedly about to be named the conservative replacement on The View. Many truthers believe Bush was behind 9/11. One wonders if Wallace will challenge O’Donnell on this outrageous assertion.

ABC has slammed conservatives for even the most imagined connection to the birther conspiracy theory. Yet, this same network is giving a national platform for a similarly false belief.

The Brink’s robbery of 1981 was an armed robbery committed on October 20, 1981, which was carried out by Black Liberation Army members Jeral Wayne Williams (aka Mutulu Shakur), Donald Weems (aka Kuwasi Balagoon), Samuel Brown (aka Solomon Bouines), Samuel Smith, Nathaniel Burns (aka Sekou Odinga), and Cecilio “Chui” Ferguson; several former members of the Weather Underground, now belonging to the May 19th Communist Organization, including David Gilbert, Judith Alice Clark, Kathy Boudin, and Marilyn Buck.[1]
They stole $1.6 million from a Brink’s armored car at the Nanuet Mall, in Nanuet, New York, killing two police officers, Edward O’Grady and Waverly Brown (the first African American member of the Nyack, New York police department) and a Brink’s guard, Peter Paige.

GOSHEN, N.Y. — A survivor of a 1981 Brinks armored truck robbery, which left two police officers and a guard dead, broke his silence Tuesday to criticize the hiring of a woman convicted for her role in the crime.

Retired Nyack, N.Y., police detective Arthur Keenan, who was wounded in the shootout that claimed the lives of Sgt. Edward O’Grady and Officer Waverly “Chipper” Brown, said he could not stay silent about Kathy Boudin’s latest university job.

”She’s there on her soapbox, trying to get her husband and other co-defendants out of jail for the crimes they committed,” Keenan said. “That’s her form. That’s her soapbox, and I decided to have my own soapbox here in front of the Goshen courthouse. I had to speak out after 31 years.”

Boudin, now 69, was one of several members of the terrorist Weather Underground Organization who ambushed an armored truck at the Nanuet Mall on Oct. 20, 1981, in an attempt to steal $1.8 million. She eventually admitted to her role in the robbery, during which Brinks guard Peter Paige also was killed.

In 2003, after 22 years in prison, Boudin was paroled. She now works as an assistant professor at Columbia University’s School of Social Work, where she teaches about the problems facing newly released prisoners and their families. She also is the Rose Sheinberg scholar-in-residence at the New York University School of Law.

Boudin did not respond to a message left Tuesday on her voicemail at Columbia University.

William Charles “Bill” Ayers (born December 26, 1944)[1] is an American elementary education theorist and a former leader in the counterculture movement who opposed US involvement in the Vietnam War. He is known for his 1960s radical activism and his current work in education reform, curriculum and instruction. In 1969, he co-founded the Weather Underground, a self-described communist revolutionary group with the intent to overthrow imperialism,[2] that conducted a campaign of bombing public buildings (including police stations, the US Capitol Building, and the Pentagon) during the 1960s and 1970s in response to US involvement in the Vietnam War.

He is a retired professor in the College of Education at the University of Illinois at Chicago, formerly holding the titles of Distinguished Professor of Education and Senior University Scholar.[3] During the 2008 US Presidential campaign, a controversy arose over his contacts with candidate Barack Obama. He is married to Bernardine Dohrn, who was also a leader in the Weather Underground.

The Weather Underground Controlled Cartoon Opposition?

"The Weather Underground Organization (WUO), commonly known as the Weather Underground, was an American militant radical left-wing organization founded on the Ann Arbor campus of the University of Michigan. Originally called Weatherman, the group became known colloquially as the Weathermen. Weatherman organized in 1969 as a faction of Students for a Democratic Society (SDS)[2] composed for the most part of the national office leadership of SDS and their supporters. Their goal was to create a clandestine revolutionary party for the overthrow of the U.S. government"

With revolutionary positions characterized by black power and opposition to the Vietnam War,[2] the group conducted a campaign of bombings through the mid-1970s and took part in actions such as the jailbreak of Dr. Timothy Leary. The “Days of Rage”, their first public demonstration on October 8, 1969, was a riot in Chicago timed to coincide with the trial of the Chicago Seven. In 1970 the group issued a “Declaration of a State of War” against the United States government, under the name “Weather Underground Organization”.[4]

The bombing campaign targeted mostly government buildings, along with several banks. The group stated that the government had been exploiting other nations by waging war as a means of solidifying America as a greater nation. Most were preceded by evacuation warnings, along with communiqués identifying the particular matter that the attack was intended to protest. No people were killed in any of their acts of property destruction, although three members of the group were killed in the Greenwich Village townhouse explosion. Years after the dissolution of Weatherman, former members Kathy Boudin and David Gilbert joined the Black Liberation Army in robbing a Brink’s armored car in 1981, which resulted in the deaths of three people including Waverly Brown, the first black police officer on the Nyack police force.[5]

For the bombing of the United States Capitol on March 1, 1971, they issued a communiqué saying that it was “in protest of the U.S. invasion of Laos”. For the bombing of the Pentagon on May 19, 1972, they stated that it was “in retaliation for the U.S. bombing raid in Hanoi”. For the January 29, 1975 bombing of the United States Department of State building, they stated that it was “in response to the escalation in Vietnam”.

After the Church Committee revealed the FBI’s illegal activities, many agents were investigated. In 1976, former FBI Associate Director W. Mark Felt publicly stated he had ordered break-ins and that individual agents were merely obeying orders and should not be punished for it. Felt also stated that acting Director L. Patrick Gray had also authorized the break-ins, but Gray denied this. Felt said on the CBS television program Face the Nation that he would probably be a “scapegoat” for the Bureau’s work.[103] “I think this is justified and I’d do it again tomorrow,” he said on the program. While admitting the break-ins were “extralegal,” he justified it as protecting the “greater good.” Felt said, “To not take action against these people and know of a bombing in advance would simply be to stick your fingers in your ears and protect your eardrums when the explosion went off and then start the investigation.”

The Attorney General in the new Carter administration, Griffin B. Bell, investigated, and on April 10, 1978, a federal grand jury charged Felt, Edward S. Miller, and Gray with conspiracy to violate the constitutional rights of American citizens by searching their homes without warrants. The case did not go to trial and was dropped by the government for lack of evidence on December 11, 1980.[104]

The indictment charged violations of Title 18, Section 241 of the United States Code. The indictment charged Felt and the others “did unlawfully, willfully, and knowingly combine, conspire, confederate, and agree together and with each other to injure and oppress citizens of the United States who were relatives and acquaintances of the Weatherman fugitives, in the free exercise and enjoyments of certain rights and privileges secured to them by the Constitution and the laws of the United States of America.?[105]

Felt and Miller attempted to plea bargain with the government, willing to agree to a misdemeanor guilty plea to conducting searches without warrants—a violation of 18 U.S.C. sec. 2236—but the government rejected the offer in 1979. After eight postponements, the case against Felt and Miller went to trial in the United States District Court for the District of Columbia on September 18, 1980.[106] On October 29, former President Richard Nixon appeared as a rebuttal witness for the defense, and testified that presidents since Franklin D. Roosevelt had authorized the bureau to engage in break-ins while conducting foreign intelligence and counterespionage investigations.[107]

It was Nixon’s first courtroom appearance since his resignation in 1974. Nixon also contributed money to Felt’s legal defense fund, with Felt’s legal expenses running over $600,000. Also testifying were former Attorneys General Herbert Brownell, Jr., Nicholas Katzenbach, Ramsey Clark, John N. Mitchell, and Richard G. Kleindienst, all of whom said warrantless searches in national security matters were commonplace and not understood to be illegal, but Mitchell and Kleindienst denied they had authorized any of the break-ins at issue in the trial.

The jury returned guilty verdicts on November 6, 1980. Although the charge carried a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison, Felt was fined $5,000. (Miller was fined $3,500).[108] Writing in The New York Times a week after the conviction, Roy Cohn claimed that Felt and Miller were being used as scapegoats by the Carter administration and that it was an unfair prosecution. Cohn wrote it was the “final dirty trick” and that there had been no “personal motive” to their actions.[109]

The Times saluted the convictions, saying that it showed “the case has established that zeal is no excuse for violating the Constitution”.[110] Felt and Miller appealed the verdict, and they were later pardoned by Ronald Reagan.

A Little History About University Fraternities - Connecting the Dots

The Zeta Psi Fraternity Incorporated (ΖΨ) was founded June 1, 1847 as a social college fraternity. The organization now comprises about fifty active chapters and twenty-six inactive chapters, encompassing roughly fifty thousand brothers, and is a founding member of the North-American Interfraternity Conference. It has historically been selective about the campuses at which it has established chapters,[1] focusing on forging new territory and maintaining a presence at prestigious institutions: it was the first Fraternity on the West Coast at the University of California, Berkeley June 10, 1870,[2] the first Fraternity in Canada at the University of Toronto,[3] March 27, 1879, and the only fraternity to have chapters simultaneously at all eight Ivy League schools with the chartering of the Eta Chapter at Yale University in 1889 (though this claim lasted only a few years, owing to faculty opposition to the Princeton University Chapter).[4] The fraternity became intercontinental on May 3, 2008 with the chartering of Iota Omicron at the University of Oxford.
Zeta Psi’s international headquarters is located in Pearl River, New York. Its current president is Les Mann, who was elected in 2016.

On the first of June in 1847, three young men gathered in a New York City bungalow with a purpose in mind: the constitution of a new Greek-letter society. Their names were John Bradt Yates Sommers, William Henry Dayton, and John Moon Skillman.
Then students at New York University, the three men formed the core of the first chapter, Phi. But William Dayton was stricken with poor health, and departed New York shortly afterwards for more temperate climes. He retired to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where the warm weather and liberal policies were expected to improve his humors, intending to begin a chapter there.[5] But the move was inauspicious: Dayton died within the year, and the University of North Carolina was without a chapter of Zeta Psi for over a decade.
The Phi chapter at NYU persisted in his absence, and graduated its first member the next year with George S Woodhull (Φ ‘48). The second chapter was established as Zeta at Williams College in Massachusetts. The Delta chapter was founded at Rutgers University later that year,[5] and was the most continuously active chapter of the fraternity until it became inactive in 2009.
Three chapters followed in 1850: Omicron (now Omicron Epsilon) at Princeton University, Sigma at the University of Pennsylvania, and Chi at Colby College in Waterville, Maine. The first two are still active, as was the Chi Chapter until 1988. In the early 1980s Colby College prohibited Fraternities on campus, despite the long and storied tradition they had enjoyed there. By 1988, ejected from campus and banned from any formal rush, the chapter quietly expired after over 130 years of existence. Problems beset other early chapters as well. The first Alpha chapter was founded in 1852 at Dickinson College in Carlisle, Pennsylvania. But immediate resistance from the administration slowly wore upon the brothers there, and that chapter became inactive in 1872, permitting its letter to be used for the later chapter founded at Columbia.

Abraham Lincoln was elected president of the United States in 1860, and South Carolina seceded from the Union, followed shortly thereafter by her fellow Southern states. Expansion of the Fraternity halted as campuses rallied for war and sent companies of their collegemen to battle.
At the outbreak of war, the Upsilon chapter at UNC— only chartered three years before—found itself the only chapter of Zeta Psi among all the Southern states, sundered from the North by the sudden lines of enmity. But even as they mustered for war and marched south, the Grand Chapter of Zeta Psi, specially assembled in early July 1862, adopted the resolution of Brother William Cooke (Φ ‘58) prescribing unity:
RESOLVED, That while we may differ in political sentiment with those of our Brothers who are courageously battling for principles which they deem right, no disaster shall separate them from the union of Tau Kappa Phi.
And the brothers of Upsilon replied by letter in like fashion:
WHEREAS, The present distracted state of our country renders it inexpedient to hold our convention in this State during this year;
RESOLVED, That the Sigma Alpha be instructed to write to all Chapters, assuring them that though our Federal Union has been dissolved, still the Circle of Zeta Psi Fraternity shall never be broken;
RESOLVED, That the bonds of Tau Kappa Phi which bind us to our Brothers in the North are as strong as they ever were.
Nor was the brotherhood among Zetes limited to mere words; the moving tale of Brother Henry Schwerin (Θ ‘63) illustrates the embodiment of love even in the most trying of circumstance. Schwerin lay gravely wounded after the bloody Battle of Chattanooga; pinned on the breast of his Union uniform was the badge of Zeta Psi. A passing Confederate soldier, also a Zete, spied the badge and carried the invalid to medical care and safety, ignoring even the imperatives of war for the sake of his brother. The worthy badge later passed into the hands of his brother, Max Schwerin (Θ ‘70), who would one day serve as international president. After his death, it was donated by his sister to the Fraternity’s archives and remains among its treasures. Brother John Day Smith (Ε ‘72) witnessed the incident on the Chattanooga field, and later related it to Brother Francis Lawton (Ε ‘69), who would author the poem “The Badge of Zeta Psi,” later set to original music and preserved to this day. The reference to “Chattanooga’s bloody field” is not idle hyperbole, but the recollection of a rare triumph among such sorrows.
And amid this sorrow and heroism where so many brothers of Zeta Psi perished, so too were even whole chapters swallowed by the War. The Eta (Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, chartered 1861), Psi Epsilon (Dartmouth), Upsilon (UNC), Epsilon (Brown), and Theta (Union) chapters had vanished by the end of the conflict, decimated by fallen brothers or disheartened campuses returning from the shadow of death. The Theta and Eta chapters would never survive the staggering losses they suffered, though the others ultimately recovered and reactivated. And the Gamma chapter—chartered 1861 at the Georgia Military Institute, the only new chapter during the War—was annihilated utterly by General Sherman’s march, and existed thus only for those few years of tumult. But out of the shadow of war came regrowth and a time for Zeta Psi to expand once more.

The nation was still young indeed even after the end of the Civil War: California had only recently become a State, committing to the side of the victorious Union and contributing its men though the conflict took place mainly across the continent, thousands of miles away. It was then only fitting that to California the Fraternities should next have moved. And as in many initiatives, Zeta Psi was first: in 1870 it established the Iota chapter at the University of California, Berkeley and became the first Fraternity on the West Coast (Though the Iota chapter would not be joined until 1892 by the next addition, the Mu chapter at Stanford University).[7]
Nor was Zeta Psi content even to remain a national Fraternity, but also pressed northward into Canada. The brothers of the Xi chapter at the University of Michigan in 1879 constituted the Theta Xi chapter at the University of Toronto, to make Zeta Psi the first international Fraternity. Since then, Zeta Psi has actively bolstered its Canadian presence, commissioning a director solely for Canadian chapter development and amassing a long list of successful chapters there.

Prescott Bush - Skull and Bones Zeta Psi Guy

Bush was born in Columbus, Ohio,[1] to Samuel Prescott Bush and Flora Sheldon Bush. Samuel Bush was a railroad middle manager, then a steel company president and, during World War I, also a federal government official in charge of coordination of and assistance to major weapons contractors.

Bush attended St. George’s School in Newport, Rhode Island, from 1908 to 1913. In 1913, he enrolled at Yale College, where his grandfather, James Smith Bush (class of 1844), and his uncle Robert E. Sheldon Jr (class of 1904) had matriculated. Three subsequent generations of the Bush family have been Yale alumni. Prescott Bush was admitted to the Zeta Psi fraternity and Skull and Bones secret society. George H. W. Bush and George W. Bush are also members of that society.

Agents and Layers of Lies & C.I.A. Foundations

Useful dupe or sophisticated agent? Does it really matter? If things are run on a need to now basis, which is logical, we should expect that no one person is privy to all the so  called secrets. Each plays their part whether they are aware of it or not and whether they know the rest of the script or not. These individual agents (actors)  only need to know their parts and how their part relates to the rest of the narrative in a limited fashion. High level film production can involve this exact kind of secrecy.
