Metaphysical Police & Doctrinal Release
We are naturally inclined to social conditioning that gets us to self identify as our thoughts and belief systems and this is a lie and huge mistake. This ego crafting blocks out the voice of God or the Natural rhythms of life. Of course perhaps most might not understand what I mean and would think me crazy. In my opinion "the Kingdom of Heaven is spread upon the Earth and most people do not see it." In my opinion Earth is Eden and God is here. Please keep in mind, I mean God not as the word or even the idea, but the reality the idea and word refer to. In my opinion God is beyond all human thought and conception and this is a logical metaphysical assumption. I don't want to take up the space trying to explain this assumption as this is something one has to experience for oneself. Perhaps you do not agree and you think God fully knowable by human senses. If someone referred to the world of nature as proof of God, I would agree and I can see how Nature herself might be considered the aspect of God we can experience. That makes sense to me, but your mental mileage will likely vary and I would suggest you do your own thinking for your own personal growth.

Who Are Your Really?
Perhaps the question is what are we in a collective consciousness sense.

The Deification of Man
My opinion is that the Bible is a great work of insightful allegory with perhaps a real history safely cloaked in fairytale. I think the Bible is a great work of art. It does have clues that can lead you to your own spiritual insights if you actually read the book and ignore the guy playing dress up at the altar. Most people, however love Jesus so much, they never actually read Him in His own Words. They also seem to have a very distorted view on following the one rule Jesus offers. The Golden Rule is a bit of reasonable Hebrew wisdom that most simply seem to ignore.
The Bible and Christ are also symbols of the power of the state. These icons were and are used to keep the mass of the faithful in their place as shepherded flock.Jesus the symbol is a powerful shepherd of human consciousness. If you self identify as your religious faith, you might be offended by my opinion. I do not mean to offend, but that's the way it is. In my opinion if you want to have a spiritual experience you have to leave your ideas behind. But if religion works for you, then keep at it. If your faith gives you strength, then I would recommend sticking with that. We all have different paths to take. What might be right for you might not work for me. We have to give each other room to breathe.
The Sun of God
I do not agree with the need to take the Bible as history. I do agree with what I see to be an allegorical, and metaphysical description of the source of all existence. You can call the Source, God, Nature or the transcendent unknowable and unspeakable power that is the "cause" of all existence. The Set of all sets can't be described in terms of the Trivium. God is beyond human description. Who? What? Where? When? Why? How? Do not logically apply to God. Keep in mind GOD is a word that refers us to a metaphysical concept. In my opinion, human language (math too) cannot adequately describe the true creator or source of existence and this is something one has to experience for oneself rather than coming to some kind of intellectual understanding. Some things might be beyond human conception altogether. It seems to me most us should agree that God would be beyond our ideas of God. So the somewhat silly idea that God can or can't create something "He" can't destroy is an erroneous concept that does not apply to the "Lord of all Creation". In my opinion you can't really apply human nature to the Divine. And that's what an intermediary allegorical archetype like Jesus is useful for. Jesus represents ideal Man as Divinity. Or rather, and in my opinion, the revelation is that humanity itself is ultimately Divine. We represent the Divine power and we chase our own fairytales (tails) when we attempt to intellectually understand this in terms of "who, what, where, when, why and how." Does that make sense to you? It's ok if you think it Babel.
Deification of Man: Resurrection & Theosis in Orthodox Theology - Jay Dyer (Partial) source: Jay Dyer
SSSHHH! Don't tell anyone, but I think the case can be made that we are all really Jews.
My Roman Catholic sounding last name seems to derive from Jewish family names, if the genealogy websites are to be believed Does it matter? Religion is the older political and cultural divide and conquer strategy that the powers that be still liberally make use of today. Spiritual or metaphysical truth need not be confused with religion. Religion is government. The media would have us believe that "God is dead" yet the world is still filled with churches and temples. Science is one religion and what most think of as religion is another. Government is a religion too.
We certainly are all slaves to a Pharaoh based Sun cult system of time and commerce. Money is time and time is money and the Vatican Banking based Power has long been interested in control of both of Saturn's favorite contractually enforced playthings. Anyone who knows what the three temptations of Christ are, knows the Pope is the antichrist. The Vatican is but one part of the vast Holy Roman Enterprise that still runs the globe to this day. This "empire" relies on art and theater to exist and always has. Such work was always commissioned with propaganda intent. Architecture is designed like royal robes and crowns and thrones, to impress the human mind. These constructs exist to keep humanity conditioned to accept a docile existence working for the system without thought.
